Another NVQ First For Nationwide's GQA Training Centre
Andy Fisher, Operations Manager in the aluminium division at Nationwide Windows & Doors is the first candidate to complete the Level 3 Fenestration & Surveying (combined) under the company’s in-house GQA approved training centre.
Building on years of experience, for Andy this combined qualification reinforces his knowledge of delivering full and complete surveys for his window and door installations, covering all the details including risk assessments and health & safety, and successfully fitting the products too. This includes diagnosing and rectifying problems and dealing with clients and tenants alike, whilst all the time ensuring the windows and doors are compliant to the regulations needed.
The third element to this qualification proved Andy’s on-going competence in managing the teams of installers under his control – ensuring all are qualified for the jobs in hand, hold all required paperwork such as CSCS cards and have completed all the correct site inductions and procedures throughout.
John Whalley, MD comments: “Congratulations to Andy on being the first to obtain this qualification – it really is a testament to the diligence and hard work he shows in his every day role at Nationwide.
“We have been directly delivering our training needs since 2016 and were one of the first fenestration manufacturers and installers to set up an in-house training facility and gain approval by the GQA. Being able to provide on-the-job qualifications at every level of our business is testament to our dedication, not only to our staff, but also to the quality of our work.”
