From our BS EN ISO 9001:20008 accredited, 86,000ft² factory on a 4.5 acre site in Rugby, we manufacture the highest quality specification PVC-U windows and doors. As one of the largest UK manufacturers of the leading Eurocell Eurologik 70mm profile system, we can offer clients and end-users superior energy efficiency and aesthetics in their windows and doors. Available with chamfered or sculpted ovolo beads in a range of colours and woodgrains, our windows and doors enhance the security, kerb appeal and energy efficiency of any style of property. Our doors and windows also have accreditation by the British Board of Agrément (BBA) and approval from the Association of Chief Police Officers' Secured by Design initiative.
Next generation Glazing Technology for Superior Thermal Efficiency
According to the Energy Savings Trust, almost half of all the UK's carbon dioxide emissions come from our buildings and homes. Windows play a huge role in this –in fact, 20% of the heat lost from an average home occurs through the windows. This heat loss contributes half a tonne of C02 per home and higher utility bills. Also interesting, an EST report in 2006 found that 82% of 300 councils surveyed believe they are making little progress in tackling climate change. This situation has improved over the years, but there is still a way to go. Building projects increasingly have to consider environmental impact, and private suppliers and contractors are bringing their own expertise to local authority work.
Nationwide takes its commitment to offering sustainable and energy efficient products very seriously and were one of the first to develop and achieve a Window Energy Rating A with a 0.8 U VALUE. The same rating system used for white goods, a C rating demonstrates the windows are legally compliant so offer good overall energy efficiency. Nationwide offers A, B and C ratings across our range, and our top spec A window that exceeds building regulations by 35% features multiple chambers, advanced glass coatings, warm edge spacer technology and PVC-U thermal inserts.
In addition to our casements, Nationwide also manufactures vertical sliders for a more traditional look combined with the low maintenance benefits, and reversible windows that can be fully tilted from the inside thus making them easy to clean - especially useful in high rise properties.
We also manufacture PVC-U Tenants doors, and French Doors which are all independently tested by a UKAS accredited test house to BS:PAS 23 and BS:PAS24 and Secure By Design licensed (Association of Chief Police Officers). Available in a huge range of colours and styles, these low maintenance, hard wearing and secure products are suitable for all new build and refurbishment applications.
Cavalok cavity closers
We also manufacture the Cavalok cavity closer takes all the hassle, time and uncertainty out of creating windows and door openings in new buildings. Any new build project will benefit from these quick to create, precise, rigid, robust openings that are fully compliant with Building Regulations and Accredited Construction Details and are NHBC and BBA approved. The Cavalok cavity closure system is designed to create window and door openings while sealing cavities between 50mm and 100mm wide. In addition, its built-in insulation delivers enhanced thermal efficiency and it’s also manufactured entirely from post consumer recycled PVC-U.
